With our managed services focus on the Architectural, Engineering and Construction industries (AEC), it made sense for Consuro to team up with our Texas AIA (American Institute of Architects) chapters this fall for their annual Clay Shoot and BBQ Cook Off Tournaments. With many of our clients involved with AIA, it was the perfect match and a great excuse to get out from behind the computers and have some fun.
We started off with the AIA San Antonio Shoot’N’Skoot in San Antonio, Texas on August 3, 2018. This event is held as a fundraiser to benefit the Center for Architecture and local AIA San Antonio Chapter. Consuro opened its San Antonio office doors almost 8 years ago and we’ve continuously grown our AEC client base in this area. AIA San Antonio is the fourth largest chapter of The American Institute of Architects in the state of Texas. The chapter serves the professional needs of more than 600 architects, associates and allied professionals working in fields allied to architecture in numerous counties in and around San Antonio.
It was a great day with almost 200 shooters at the National Shooting Complex and some of the best BBQ we’ve ever tasted. Prior to the event, we did a Facebook giveaway for a team of 5 shooters in conjunction with AIA San Antonio. We randomly drew the 5 winners the week before and enjoyed watching our winning team compete in the event. Our Director of Marketing and Sales, Courtney Summers, was a judge in the BBQ contest and was able to hand out custom RTIC coolers and tumblers to the top teams and shooters at the tournament. Thank you for letting us be the title sponsor this year, AIA San Antonio. Check out all of our pictures from the event on our Consuro Facebook page.
Our second stop on the “Consuro Tour de Clay Shoot” was with AIA Fort Worth out at the Acme Brick Ranch in Brock, Texas on September 27, 2018 for their 13th Annual Sporting Clay Classic and BBQ Cook Off. AIA Fort Worth is a professional organization of architects from North Texas and maintains a membership of over 500 architects. The Mission of AIA Fort Worth is to promote the value of architecture to the public, and to unify the membership in service to and growth of the profession. Being that our headquarters and 20,000sf underground data center is in downtown Fort Worth, it was the perfect fit to join some of our fellow clients and friends in the AEC space for the event. Thank you to AIA Fort Worth for including us as this year’s Gold Sponsor for the tournament and we look forward to making this an annual tradition. Check out all of our pictures from the Fort Worth shooting event on our Consuro Facebook page.
Our final stop was back in Brock, Texas for the AIA Dallas Sporting Clay Classic, benefiting the Latinos in Architecture Scholarship, on September 28, 2019. AIA Dallas is the sixth largest chapter of The American Institute of Architects, empowers architects to excel and impact their practice, profession and community. AIA Dallas has a membership base of more than 2,300 members and 300 architectural firms. Consuro was this year’s title sponsor, and to kick off the tournament we did another Facebook giveaway where 5 random entrants were chosen to shoot together on a team the day of the event. They may not have won first place, but they did take home a few of the exciting raffle prizes. A huge thank you to AIA Dallas for inviting Consuro to be the title sponsor this year, and to Acme Brick for hosting such a great event. Check out all of our pictures from the Dallas shooting event on our Consuro Facebook page.
We look forward to competing with you all again in 2019!
